Revlon Photoready Airbrush Mousse

Revlon's latest offering to their Photoready range seems to be very hit and miss with many different people. I haven't bought the offending item, however that's not to say I haven't already tried it out in store...twice in fact. Essentially there isn't much new about this at all. Maybelline were one of the first cosmetic companies to offer up a mousse foundation years ago, I remember because it was one of the first ever foundations I used and had it for years. Revlon has developed this formula into an airbrush feel and due to the use of gas in the product, the mousse formula is a lot lighter.

Upon trying the item out, I struggled with the first application. Knowing the packaging was that of an aerosol type can, I gently pressed down on the pump, but this was to no avail as not any of the product had come out. Once carrying on, suddenly a large amount of mousse squirted out, about the size of a gobstopper. It went everywhere! Although, this was a lot more than I had wanted to swatch on my hand, it would've been about enough to cover the face. Once starting to rub the foundation in, the light and airy mousse turned to a weightless liquid rubbing in to give a flawless finish.

The makeup itself was a light and medium coverage foundation that blends easily into the skin. It was quite drying, so a rich moisturiser would be recommended beforehand if you suffer from dry skin. Unfortunately, the aerosol like can has failed Revlon. Many people have tried this product and have commented on the fact the gas would run out within days deeming the application of the makeup useless. Hopefully, they can sort this problem out soon and not waste a different texture of foundation in their range.
